13/03/2026 Arrest summary Last week saw 20 arrests made across the Wealden district.
3 people were arrested for possession with intent to supply a class A drug in Crowborough and Buxted, and 1 individual was arrested for intent to supply a class B drug in Heathfield.
4 drivers were arrested in Hellingly, Uckfield and Stone Cross: 1 was under the influence of drugs, 2 were under the influence of alcohol and 1 was driving dangerously along Ersham Road.
2 people were arrested for theft of a motor vehicle in Crowborough.
Other offences included assault, breaching a restraining order, fraud and failing to appear at court.

If it's an emergency, always call 999. This week Officers have made an arrest after reports a man had exposed himself on the Cuckoo Trail in Polegate.
Three incidents were reported in the morning on March 10, leading officers to promptly attend.
An 18-year-old local man was arrested in the area in connection with the reports. An investigation remains underway.
Chief Inspector Kara Tombling, said, "We recognise that this incident will have caused concern within the community.
"A visible police presence will continue in the area, and we encourage anyone with information or who witnessed suspicious behaviour on the Cuckoo Trail to speak with us.
"Keeping our community safe remains our priority."

Telling not reporting Not everyone who experiences sexual violence is ready to report it and that’s okay.

This approach prioritises your choice, dignity and control while keeping support available when and if someone is ready.
